Hsu Shih-hsien

Hsu Shih-hsien (Chinese: 許世賢; pinyin: Xǔ Shìxián; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Khó͘ Sè-hiân) (1 April 1908 – 30 June 1983) was a Taiwanese academic and politician. She was the first female PhD in Taiwan, and the first female mayor of a Taiwanese city[1] – she was twice elected mayor of Chiayi City in central Taiwan.[2] Hsu's daughter is former Minister of the Interior Chang Po-ya.
